Initially, the man who suffered the South Bend brain injury was taken to the hospital for non life-threatening injuries. However, over time his condition has worsened, and the man has undergone surgery to relieve pressure on his brain.

The wife of the injured man said she believes her husband’s South Bend brain injury would have been worse had he not been wearing a helmet at the time of his accident.

The driver of the vehicle that hit the bicyclist has been taken into custody and will face a hearing for the Indiana auto accident.

Two men killed in Dayton auto accident

According to The Dayton Daily News, two men were killed in an Ohio auto accident when a delivery truck ran a red light.

The Dayton auto accident occurred when the two men drove their van into an intersection on a green light, and a delivery truck coming from another direction, ignored its red light and struck the van.

Man gets 25-year prison sentence for Cincinnati motorcycle accident

The Cincinnati motorcycle accident occurred when the man, who was under the influence of drugs or alcohol, fled a DUI checkpoint and crashed his Cadillac into another car and then into a motorcycle head-on.

The motorcyclist was instantly killed in the Cincinnati motorcycle accident.

The driver who caused the Cincinnati motorcycle accident fled the scene of the Ohio accident and was later turned into the police by his wife.

Three-year-old boy injured in Springfield dog bite accident

A three-year-old boy was attacked by chow-husky mix in the backyard of his house.

According to The Dayton Daily News, the Springfield dog bite accident was broken up after a neighbor ran over and poked the dog with a broom several times. The three-year-old boy involved in the Springfield dog bite accident was then rushed to Children’s Medical Center in Dayton to be treated for bite injuries to his under arm, neck, back, and head.

Two dead and twenty-one injured in Chicago truck accident

According to The Springfield Journal and Register, a Michigan truck driver has been cited for negligent driving for a Chicago truck accident that killed two people and left twenty-one people injured.

The Chicago truck accident occurred when the driver drove his semi-trailer into a Chicago Transit Authority elevated train station. The truck driver was briefly hospitalized following the Illinois auto accident.

The two women were killed, and most of the twenty-one injured were in the bus shelter underneath the train when the Chicago truck accident happened.

Police are still examining footage captured by a CTA surveillance camera to determine what events led to the Chicago truck accident.

Seven-year-old boy injured in South Bend dog bite accident

Champaign man killed in a Springfield truck accident

The Springfield truck accident occurred when the Champaign man crossed the centerline of a highway road and drove into the path of a tractor-trailer.

The driver of the tractor-trailer was unharmed in the Illinois truck accident.

The Champaign man was pronounced dead at the scene of the Springfield truck accident.

Mother files Columbus wrongful death suit over daughter’s death

An Ohio mother has filed a Columbus wrongful death suit against Franklin County’s Sheriff Department after her daughter was strangled by her estranged boyfriend.

According to The Columbus Dispatch, the woman’s daughter reportedly called 911 three times during her attack, but because she was unable to answer the door when help arrived, the police left.

The Ohio mother said more could have been done to prevent the Columbus wrongful death incident. She said the severity of her daughter’s phone calls were not explained to the security guard who came to her daughter’s door.

Jurors elected for the Columbus wrongful death trial will have to determine if dispatchers and technicians for the county sheriff’s department were negligent in their actions.

Woman needs over 100 stitches after Decatur dog bite

An Illinois woman was bitten several times by a stray dog outside a Circle K gas station in Decatur.

According to The Decatur Herald-Review, the Decatur dog bite occurred as the woman was entering the convenience store at the gas station. The dog, which the woman identified as a pit bull, came out from behind a set of trashcans at the gas station and attacked the woman.

The Illinois woman suffered several cuts in the Decatur dog bite that resulted in over 100 stitches.

Animal control is still searching for the stray dog.

Court reinstates suit for Fort Wayne wrongful death case

An Indiana medical malpractice case that was originally dismissed by a trial court has now been turned into a Fort Wayne wrongful death case.

According to The Fort Wayne Journal-Gazette, a Fort Wayne wrongful death case has been filed against a Fort Wayne nursing home for the neglect and death of a woman who was supposed to be recovering from surgery on her femur.

The Fort Wayne wrongful death suit claims that the Indiana woman tore her surgical incision because she was given a wheelchair that was too small, suffered from ulcers because she was left on a bed pan for six hours, and after a dialysis treatment was found in her room lying in her own pool of blood.

A possible trial will determine the outcome of the Indiana wrongful death suit.
