Vigo County Residents Can Now Text 911 for Emergency Assistance

When emergencies like car accidents arise, people often 911 for emergency services. And now, people in Vigo County can send a text to 911 for help.

According to a story from WTHITV 10 News, the ability to text 911 responders begins today in Vigo County. This application will be especially useful in dealing with emergencies involving the deaf or individuals who cannot speak, such as stroke victims.

Helping clients and others achieve their dreams is a focus for the Indiana Personal Injury Lawyers at Fleschner, Stark, Tanoos & Newlin, and one of our own recently reached such a goal. Founding partner, Tom Newlin, recently completed a cross-country journey on bicycle that spanned more than 12 states in a total of 32 days.

Tom kept a journal throughout the journey, which was posted online. This allowed friends and family back home, along with others, to keep up with and experience the ride via the Internet. Read more »

Attorney Steve Fleschner Completes Ironman Triathlon

FST&N is proud to announce that their very own Attorney Steve Fleschner competed in, and successfully completed, the Ironman competition in Coeur d’ Alene, Idaho on Sunday, June 21, 2009. The Ironman is a triathlon which includes 2.4 miles of swimming, 112 miles of biking, and 26.2 miles of running, all in one day! All of the events have to be completed in a 17-hour time span for a participant to be considered an official Ironman. Read more »

Firm Members Arrested for Having Big Hearts

Firm members Sheri Knight, Stephanie Bartlett, Cassie Bettis, Stephanie Crampton, and Lindsey Sanquenetti were “arrested” for having “big hearts” during the Muscular Dystrophy Association’s Lock-Up on July 23. Once their arrest warrants were issued, they were sent to Cheeseburger in Paradise and were kept at the restaurant until they could raise bail (donations). The ladies were successful in raising nearly $900 in just the first day!

The Safe and Sober Free Cab Ride Home program will be available from 10 p.m. on Wednesday, December 31, 2008, through 4 a.m. on Thursday, January 1, 2009.

Our good friend, Larry Fleschner, recently passed away after a long battle with cancer.  In memory of Larry and his philanthropic ways, Fleschner, Stark, Tanoos, & Newlin and Florida Tan Centers will be sponsoring a food drive to support various local charities in the Terre Haute/Vigo County, Indiana area.

This food drive will begin on November 5 and run until December 21.  If you or your company should wish to drop off any nonperishable food items, the items may be dropped off at the following locations:
