Joshua McKee was born and raised in Athens, Tennessee. In 1995, he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in political science from Middle Tennessee State University. During college, he served as president of Sigma Chi fraternity—of which he is still an active alumnus. Joshua then attended Nashville School of Law, graduating with his Juris Doctorate in 2000.
In joining Fleschner, Stark, Tanoos & Newlin, Joshua brings 11 years of general practice experience in the areas of criminal defense, domestic law, and tort litigation. He is a member of the Tennessee Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, Tennessee Bar Association, Knoxville Bar Association, and National Organization of Social Security Claimants’ Representatives, and he is admitted to practice in Tennessee and the Federal Court, Eastern Division of Tennessee.
Joshua served as a city judge in Athens, Tennessee, and as president of the McMinn-Meigs County Bar Association. In addition, he was a candidate for judge of Tennessee Criminal Court and was selected to serve on the Athens Regional Planning Commission.
