Profile

Nicholas R. Sauter

Attorney Nicholas R. Sauter was born and raised in Parke County, Indiana. He received an honors diploma from Rockville High School in 2002 and graduated cum laude from Indiana State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in political science and criminology. He earned his juris doctorate from the University of Dayton School of Law in January of 2009, after completing the three year program in just two and a half years.

While in law school, Nick developed strong legal research and writing skills through his participation in the University of Dayton’s nationally recognized legal writing program, and honed those skills as an intern with the City of Kettering (OH) Prosecutor’s Office. While there, he conducted all the necessary legal research for, and then drafted, an Appellate Brief, which was filed with the Ohio Second District Court of Appeals.

He received further training in legal analysis and writing as an Intern with UDSL’s Law Clinic, where he was called upon to write a number of motions and briefs. Moreover, he developed strong oral advocacy skills while litigating misdemeanor cases for the City of Kettering and through his stint representing indigent offenders as part of the Dayton Law Clinic.

Since joining Fleschner, Stark, Tanoos & Newlin in early 2009, his primary focus has been representing Social Security Disability claimants throughout the United States and personal injury clients in Indiana. Nick is admitted to practice law by the Indiana State Bar and the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Indiana.
