Thomas C. Newlin
Tom Newlin has lived in Terre Haute, Indiana, his entire life. He graduated from Schulte High School in 1967 and Indiana State University in 1971 with a B.S. in business administration. He obtained his M.B.A from Indiana University in 1973 and then joined family-owned Newlin-Johnson Company, Inc. In 1982, he began law school and graduated from Indiana University School of Law at Indianapolis in 1986 with honors.
Since 1986, Tom has devoted his professional career to personal injury, Social Security Disability, and probate law. He is the managing partner of the Social Security Department for Fleschner, Stark, Tanoos & Newlin.
Tom has always been extremely active in his community. He has been a Rotarian for more than 30 years, where he served as club president and was awarded the prestigious Paul Harris Fellowship Award. He served as president and campaign chairman of the Wabash Valley United Way. Tom is actively involved in numerous other philanthropic activities, and has served as a soccer coach, Boys Club basketball coach, North Terre Haute Little League coach, Vigo County Youth football coach, and a Terre Haute North football coach.
Tom is an avid cyclist. He also enjoys snow skiing and golf. His motto is, “provide client-first service with integrity and always treat everyone with respect and dignity.”
