Eight injured in Terre Haute auto accident

A pile-up on Interstate 70 after a six-vehicle Terre Haute truck accident has sent eight people to the hospital.

WTHI TV reports that the six-vehicle Terre Haute truck accident occurred when a semi-truck crashed into the other vehicles in slow-moving traffic.

Of the eight people who were injured, one was airlifted to Indianapolis to be treated for more serious injuries as a result of the Terre Haute truck accident. The westbound lanes of I-70 were closed temporarily as crews worked to clean up the Terre Haute truck accident site.

It seems semi trucks are often the culprit in Terre Haute truck accidents on the interstate, sometimes simply due to their size and inability to stop quickly.

How do you feel about semis? Should they have to stay in one lane only? Do you think it would it make a difference if there were separate lanes for cars and trucks?
