Man injured in Terre Haute motocycle accident

Trib Star reports that a man was airlifted after a Terre Haut motorcyle accident.

The motorcyclist was heading west on Indiana 42 towards Palmer Street when a car from Palmer Street turned left onto Indiana 42 and in the path of the motorcycle.

When the motorcycle driver applied the brakes, he lost control of his motorcycle and it started to skid and the Terre Haute motorcycle accident resulted with the man being thrown off his motorcycle. The driver was wearing a helmet at the time of the Terre Haute motorcycle accident.

The man was unconscious when the emergency officials arrived, but gained consciousness when he was being transported to the hospital.

The driver was airlifted to an Indianapolis airport.

The driver of the other vehicle was cited for failing to yield the right of way after the Terre Haute motorcycle accident.
