Illinois drunk driving accident leaves one dead

The News-Gazette reported that a woman was killed Thursday afternoon in a three-vehicle Illinois auto accident. A man who fled the scene was arrested later for drunk driving.

The Illinois car accident victim was pronounced dead at the scene at 1:30 p.m. She was hit from behind by a pickup truck driven by the man who was arrested on an Illinois DUI charge. The two vehicles sideswiped another car that was driving in the opposite direction.
