Congress oppresses stimulus check for Social Security beneficiaries

A proposal to grant Social Security beneficiaries a one-time payment of $250 was shut down by Congress.

According to the Los Angeles Times, the one-time payment would have gone to 54 millian Social Security recipients instead of them receiving an annual cost-of-living adjustment.

This is the second consecutive year that the cost-of-living adjustment has not been awarded to Social Security beneficiaries.
