The economic team is pressuring President Obama to cut Social Security benefits; however, his political team is concerned if he does so, it may harm his chances for his 2012 reelection.

Obama’s economics team is telling him Social Security benefits cuts would help bond markets and restrain future interest rates, which could help his future presidential campaign.
