A Social Security office in Wisconsin has alerted Social Security beneficiaries of a new phone scam, htrnews.com reports.

The scammer tells the Social Security beneficiaries that checks are guaranteed to be delivered in the event government employees aren’t in the office to forward the check. They may try to collect personal information, such as a Social Security Number, from the recipient.
