Cuts to Social Security benefits will hurt women, minorities

A draft report of President Obama’s  response to the national deficit shows that if Social Security benefits are cut, the nation’s poor and minorities would suffer the most.

The cuts to Social Security also put many women into poverty.

Statistics show that women earn 77 cents for every dollar that a man makes, according to huffingtonpost.com. For minorities, the pay is even lower.
