Those who work in blue collar jobs, where work is often physical, may not be able to work to retirement age if Congress plans on raising the age to 70.
According to chron.com, workers who perform physical labor are more likely to have higher rates of disease. Sine poor health is often a big factor in one’s decision to retire and collect Social Security benefits, many believe that raising the retirement age to 70 is punishing the people who need help the most.
