Woman stole Social Security benefits from child

A woman in Texas has been indicted for stealing her child’s identity and Social Security benefits, according to newschannel10.com.

Investigators believe the Texas woman stole more than $25,000 within the past nine years.

The woman said she was caring for the child and collecting the Social Security benefits, but the child was in the care of the state.
