A lifelong resident of Terre Haute, Indiana, Katie Fleschner McMullen is proud to continue her family’s legacy of service and dedication to the community. As the daughter of attorney Steve Fleschner, she grew up seeing firsthand the importance of standing up for others and helping people during difficult times—values that continue to guide her both personally and professionally.
Katie attended Hanover College, where she earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology and Business. A talented student-athlete, she played on the Hanover tennis team and was honored by the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference as Freshman of the Year, Most Valuable Player, and a First-Team All-Conference selection. She graduated cum laude in 2009.
She went on to earn her Juris Doctor degree magna cum laude from Michigan State University College of Law in 2014. During law school, Katie served as a teacher’s assistant for an Intellectual Property Perspectives writing course, worked as the Assistant Senior Notes Editor for the Michigan State Law Review, and served as Vice President of the Intellectual Property Law Society.
Katie’s relationship with Fleschner, Stark, Tanoos & Newlin began long before she became an attorney. She first joined the firm in 2005 as a personal injury case assistant and later worked as a receptionist, Social Security Disability case analyst and brief writer, and mass tort case analyst.These early experiences gave her a deep understanding of the firm’s mission and the clients it serves.
Since joining the firm as an attorney in 2014, Katie has focused her practice on personal injury law. She is passionate about helping clients through life-changing challenges and takes great pride in providing compassionate, thorough, and trustworthy representation. She is a member of the Terre Haute Bar Association and Indiana Trial Lawyers Association.
Outside of work, Katie enjoys running, walking her dog, traveling, and spending time with her friends and family. She values the strong sense of community that Terre Haute offers and is proud to serve the same hometown that has always meant so much to her and her family.
