Kristin Fleschner is a native of Terre Haute, Indiana. Kristin worked as a cleaning person for Fleschner Law firm during high school and came back as an attorney almost 20 years later.
Kristin is also a powerful advocate for equal opportunities for all. Throughout her professional career, she has worked with people with disabilities, women, and LGBTI individuals. Kristin also worked in the federal government at the intersection of national security and human rights issues for nearly 11 years.
In the midst of losing her sight, Kristin attended Harvard Law School, where she received the Dean’s Leadership Award for her work on universal design and accessibility.
Kristin is a graduate of Vanderbilt University, where she graduated summa cum laude with degrees in Anthropology and Human & Organizational Development. She was the Vanderbilt University Michael B. Keegan Traveling Fellow, which enabled her to travel to Southern and Eastern Africa to study sexual violence against women and children.
Kristin travels the globe speaking on leadership as well as the benefits of hiring people with disabilities and creating fully accessible products. She loves animals, sports, and the planet, and they are common themes that she uses to bring people together.
An avid cyclist, Kristin won gold in the 2018 and 2019 Para RoadNational Cycling Championship and silver in the 2018 and 2019 Para Road Cycling National Time Trial. She won two bronze medals in the 2019 Para Track Cycling Nationals Championship. She is a Boston Marathon finisher and has completed several endurance cycling races.
