• Trash Talk Litter Summit- The event was held in coordination with Earth Day and featured discussions with city officials and environmental experts centered on what Terre Haute can do to help the environment. Some of the suggestions offered included planting trees and flowers, picking up trash, and conserving water.
• Walk With A Doc- On Saturday morning, locals were encouraged to make it out to Fairbanks Park in order to participate in a walk that focused on addressing childhood obesity and other health concerns facing the city and region. Future events will be held on the third Saturday of every month, with different topics and doctors each month.
• Dine Out for the Red Cross- On April 23, more than five restaurants in Terre Haute are donating a portion of their profits from food sales to the Red Cross. A story from WTHITV 10 News explains .91 cents from every dollar raised will benefit the Wabash Valley.
