Republicans are posing a $1.7 billion cut to Social Security, promoting agency employees and Social Security beneficiaries to protest in 31 states, People’s World reports.

Members of the Puget Sound Alliance for Retired Americans protested where their Social Security claims are processed. They were joined by groups that represent Social Security employees.
