A town marshal was killed after a vehicle hit his motorcycle in a South Bend auto accident, reports WSBT News.
The man was traveling northbound on Ironwood when he was hit by a car traveling southbound. The driver of the vehicle fled the scene after he hit the man in the South Bend motorcycle accident.
The driver of the vehicle drove erratically, veered off the road, and hit a tree. Police report the driver was later caught and taken to Memorial Hospital.

A 12- year-old boy died Saturday morning in an Indianapolis motorcycle accident, according to the Indianapolis Star.
According to police, the boy was not wearing a helmet and was riding an off-road model not intended for use on city streets when the Indiana motorcycle accident occurred.
