A woman is diagnosed with breast cancer every two minutes in the United States. The disease alters millions of lives and there is currently no way to prevent it. That’s why the Terre Haute personal injury lawyers are proud to support an organization that’s working to find a cure for breast cancer.
Our firm recently sponsored a team that took part in the 2014 Komen Race for the Cure on Saturday at Indiana State Memorial Stadium. Participants were asked to donate or collect donations for the Susan G. Komen Foundation, a national leader in breast cancer research. Those who collected donations then participated in either a 5K run or a one mile walk.
Our team had a successful showing at this year’s event, raising a total of $841.22 for this wonderful cause.
Even though the race is over, it’s never too late to donate to breast cancer research. The Susan G. Komen Foundation collects funds year-round to help put an end to breast cancer.
At Fleschner, Stark, Tanoos & Newlin, giving back to the community is part of the foundation our firm is built upon. You can learn more about other ways we give by taking a look at our Facebook or Twitter pages.

The wonderful sense of community is just one aspect of Terre Haute that attracts the Indiana personal injury lawyers with Fleschner, Stark, Tanoos & Newlin to the area. That is why the firm would like to let you know about several recent charitable events that honor the spirit of helping others in the region:
- Trash Talk Litter Summit- The event was held in coordination with Earth Day and featured discussions with city officials and environmental experts centered on what Terre Haute can do to help the environment. Some of the suggestions offered included planting trees and flowers, picking up trash, and conserving water.
- Walk With A Doc- On Saturday morning, locals were encouraged to make it out to Fairbanks Park in order to participate in a walk that focused on addressing childhood obesity and other health concerns facing the city and region. Future events will be held on the third Saturday of every month, with different topics and doctors each month.
- Dine Out for the Red Cross- On April 23, more than five restaurants in Terre Haute are donating a portion of their profits from food sales to the Red Cross. A story from WTHITV 10 News explains .91 cents from every dollar raised will benefit the Wabash Valley.
The attorneys with Fleschner, Stark, Tanoos & Newlin enjoy participating in community events like these, and they encourage citizens to do the same. You can stay up to date on our latest charitable activities by visiting our social media outlets, like Facebook and Twitter.
