Trib Star reports that a man was airlifted after a Terre Haut motorcyle accident.
The motorcyclist was heading west on Indiana 42 towards Palmer Street when a car from Palmer Street turned left onto Indiana 42 and in the path of the motorcycle.
When the motorcycle driver applied the brakes, he lost control of his motorcycle and it started to skid and the Terre Haute motorcycle accident resulted with the man being thrown off his motorcycle. The driver was wearing a helmet at the time of the Terre Haute motorcycle accident.
The man was unconscious when the emergency officials arrived, but gained consciousness when he was being transported to the hospital.
The driver was airlifted to an Indianapolis airport.
The driver of the other vehicle was cited for failing to yield the right of way after the Terre Haute motorcycle accident.

If a doctor is charged with liability, do you think his license should be automatically suspended?
A local doctor has been charged in the Terre Haute wrongful death of one of his patients, reports WTHI-TV.
The doctor is accused of prescribing narcotics to patients with a history of drug abuse. According to officials, he would have patients undergo invasive procedures they didn’t need to get the prescription drugs.
One patient with a history of drug abuse died from narcotic use prescribed by this doctor. The doctor has been indicted for charges related to fraud and other bodily injuries.
As investigation continues, the doctor’s medical license is still active. Do you think it shows negligence on the part of the state that this doctor is still practicing?

WCPO News reports that icy conditions led to a two-vehicle Cincinnati auto accident. The Cincinnati auto accident occurred on Columbia Parkway between Kemper Lane and Martin Drive.
According to police, the driver of an Explorer was traveling westbound when he lost control of his vehicle and hit a vehicle traveling eastbound causing this Cincinnati car accident.
Police believe the Ohio auto accident was caused by slick road conditions. Both drivers were taken to the hospital to be treated for non-life threatening injuries following the Cincinnati car accident.

Many questions remain following a Columbus auto accident, reports the Columbus Dispatch. Police are trying to confirm who was driving the vehicle that caused the Ohio auto accident.
According to police, a Ford Thunderbird was headed west on Morse Road when it crossed the center line, clipped another vehicle, and then crashed head on into a BMW.
The driver of the BMW died at Ohio State University Medical Center following the Columbus auto accident. A female passenger in the Thunderbird also died at a hospital following the Columbus car accident.
An initial report said that the driver of the Thunderbird was a young man. He was charged with speeding and driving without a license. He later said it was his father that had been driving the vehicle. This Columbus auto accident is still under investigation.

Cincinnati.com reports that one woman died in a fiery Cincinnati car accident early Monday morning.
The Cincinnati auto accident occurred in the Walnut Hills area just after 2 am. Police were called to the intersection of Victory Parkway and Lexington Avenue.
Police report the car involved in the Ohio auto accident was traveling at a high rate of speed when the driver lost control and ran into a pole. The vehicle then burst in to flames.
The victim in the Cincinnati auto accident was trapped inside the vehicle and died at the scene.

A town marshal was killed after a vehicle hit his motorcycle in a South Bend auto accident, reports WSBT News.
The man was traveling northbound on Ironwood when he was hit by a car traveling southbound. The driver of the vehicle fled the scene after he hit the man in the South Bend motorcycle accident.
The driver of the vehicle drove erratically, veered off the road, and hit a tree. Police report the driver was later caught and taken to Memorial Hospital.
The Fatal Alcohol Crash Team is investigating the Indiana motorcycle accident.

A man was critically injured when his vehicle slammed into a semi-truck and became pinned underneath the vehicle, according to the Chicago Sun Times.
The Chicago auto accident happened at 3:25 am. The motorist was driving a Nissan Sentra at a high rate of speed down Cicero Avenue; the semi was turning onto Cicero Avenue when the car slammed into the truck.
Fire crews responded to the Chicago car accident and the driver of the car was taken to Christ Medical Center to be treated for critical injuries.

The News-Gazette reported that four vehicles were involved in a chain reaction Champaign auto accident.
The Sheriff’s office reported that a woman was driving southbound when she drove into the back end of a pickup truck, causing the truck to hit the vehicle in front of it and that car hit a car in front of it.
The driver of the vehicle that caused the Champaign car accident was ticketed for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident. She and the driver of the pickup truck were taken to a local hospital and later released.

News channel NBC 4 reported that a four-year-old boy was killed after he was hit by a pick-up truck in a Columbus auto accident.
Police report that it appears the boy was struck by a Ford Explorer pick-up truck that was backing up in a parking lot. The boy was attending a local sporting event at Memorial park in Obetz.
The boy was rushed to a local hospital, where he later died.
Officials are investigating the Ohio auto accident.

A Chicago man was charged with DUI and drug possession after an Illinois auto accident that left 11 people injured, according to WBBM Newsradio.
The man was driving on Western Avenue when he hit several other vehicles headed in the same direction. He was charged with possession of a controlled substance, misdemeanor DUI, and cited for reckless driving and driving without insurance.
The Chicago auto accident involved eight vehicles and 11 people were sent to the hospital. All but one of the injured persons were expected to be released by Thursday.
Police are considering seeking felony DUI charges in the Chicago car accident.
